Montecito Landscape

Chris Cullen and Lisa Cullen, owners of Montecito Landscape, have been creating beautiful gardens in the Santa Barbara area for over 40 years. Chris is a landscape designer, licensed contractor and horticulturist, graduating from the Saratoga Horticultural Foundation in 1967.

Chris created Montecito Landscape when he moved to Montecito from the Santa Clara Valley. An artist from a young age, he toured as a professional musician, was a sculptor and a painter. But, his real passion is the garden. “The earth is my canvas” is how Chris describes his approach to garden design. His unique philosophy, “Classic Designs in a Modern Age” comes from his love of the arts and nature.

Montecito Landscape can bring your property to life. Utilizing sustainable practices in all their installations by staying away from harmful chemicals and pesticides, they recommend a gentler approach. Since the secret to healthy plants is healthy soil, special attention is paid to soil vitality.

Montecito Landscape specializes in design and installation of finer residential properties and has created gardens for some of Montecito’s more influential residents (references provided upon request).
