Happy Holidays from Montecito Landscape

take the time to Celebrate

These past few years we have been taking time to celebrate and appreciate during the holidays. Potlucks and secret santa gift giving is a fun and easy way to spread joy. I say spread the work around, is that a sign of getting older? I suppose it is. I have never been a big shopper and honestly, I don’t remember many gifts I have received (except my first car from my dad-a $500 VW bug) but I do remember the time spent with family and friends. This is our chance to appreciate good friendships and family cherish them while you have them. Do you have favorite memories of holidays past?

Soak in the Holiday cheer at world renown San Ysidro Ranch Resort

traditions

We have our own traditions and one of them is visiting our beloved Montecito resorts to take in the Holiday decor. I never miss the San Ysidro Ranch and formerly, the Biltmore during the holidays. I know the Montecito Biltmore has been closed for the past three years, I look forward to it opening again.

There’s also the renovated Montecito Miramar. Taking walks through their gardens is another favorite holiday activity, and they welcome dogs. We are so fortunate to live in the most beautiful place on earth; take the time to indulge. And you know what? With all these beautiful locations in our neighborhood, you can soak up all the Holiday spirit without lifting a finger.

Taking walks

Another bonus to living in this coastal paradise is taking walks. All of Santa Barbara and Montecito it seems takes to the streets around the Holidays; Downtown, Coast Village Road, Carpinteria, the beaches, the parks, everyone is out taking in the always-glorious holiday weather. I think this is a wonderful tradition.
